Luna Magic is looking for a rockstar operations analyst to jump in the middle of our rapidly growing team here in Los Angeles, CA! We have a number of large retailers and a rapidly growing business. This person will be a key point of contact for our major retail partners while assisting and reporting to our Leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Extremely detailed and process oriented, helping to implement processes while keeping timelines and schedules of production and processes
  • Strong Excel skills and highly analytical in nature
  • An over-communicator, you understand our sales team and customers need to know timelines of when products are arriving so you feel comfortable communicating timing to the larger team
  • Self-starter, you see an issue on our website or with a product and you find the best way to fix it quickly
  • Trustworthy, you are holding the key to our manufacturers and margins so transparency and direct communication with our Leadership team is of the utmost importance
  • Ability to properly analyze large sets of data and put together key take-aways to report to the larger team
  • Assisting in forecasting sales and inventory needs for our different channels of business
  • Pricing and sales analysis: Maintain all sell-through analysis, reporting to the Director of Operations and President so that strategic decisions can be made for future orders and/or designs
  • Determining price points on products based on internal and industry analysis
  • Inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory at all times
  • Work with warehouse manager to ensure inventory is accurately reflected at all time through cycle counts
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder as necessary on popular items
  • Offer creative ways to push slower moving inventory-- Build unique pricing bundles for our customers based on inventory on hand and needs


  • Customer and Vendor Management:

  • Managing the day-to-day interaction with all of our big box retailers ensuring product is properly merchandised and standards are being met
  • Managing all 3rd party merchandisers, entering orders and determining if they are meeting all standards of operations


  • Sales Support:

  • Complete vendor information sheets as needed Communicate with Retail partners via email, calls, meetings as needed
  • Enter purchase orders from Majors received via PDF or EDI into our system
  • Create and send invoices to Majors via email or EDI


  • Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years experience working in a retail support environment
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience with an inventory management system preferred
  • Background in handling SPS/EDI and DC support functions preferred
  • Must have valid driver's licence and abilty to travel between our Culver City location and Warehouse location in Chatsworth, CA.
